About Us

DAVINDER SINGH is a timekeeping shop in Outram, Otago, at the edge of the Taieri plain. We started it because the electronics most people actually wear or wake up to are bought almost at random: a watch that dies after three months, a clock whose display is too bright to sleep beside, a fitness band that counts steps twice. Our answer was to keep the catalogue small and check every model ourselves before it is listed.

What we sell

Our range covers smart watches, fitness bands and dual-alarm digital clocks. Watches are chosen for readable screens, honest battery figures and straps that survive daily wear. Fitness bands are chosen for sensors that hold a steady reading during a walk rather than only at rest. Clocks are chosen for dimmable displays, reliable alarms and a speaker or charger only where it genuinely earns the space.

Checked on the wrist, not on the box

New stock is opened, charged and worn for several days before it goes live. We compare step counts against a manual count on a known route, check that heart-rate figures stop jumping when a sleeve slips, and test every alarm and snooze path, including the ones buried three menus deep. A watch that loses pairing overnight or a clock that drifts more than a minute a month is not going to stay in the range.

Packing and delivery

Orders leave Outram, Otago within 1–2 business days in protective packaging, with tracking on every parcel. Urban New Zealand addresses are usually reached in 1–3 business days and rural delivery in 2–5. Unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery and there is no restocking fee.

Prices and payment

Everything is priced in US dollars, with delivery and GST calculated at checkout before you confirm payment, so the total you see is the total you pay. We do not run subscription plans or hidden add-ons.

Before you choose

If you are weighing a round watch against a rectangular one, or unsure whether a display will be too bright on a bedside table, tell us the room and how you sleep and we will answer plainly rather than push the more expensive model.
